Most important factors for studying in Singapore
Financial Proof
It is important for applicants to provide Bank statement of saving and fixed deposit accounts of at least S$25,000 or S$10,000 on top of the course fee. This documentary proof of financial ability is one of the requirements that will determine the chances of student pass approve. You can fax or scan your bank statement to us if you are uncertain.
Example of the financial rates
- If the total course fee is S$3,000, your bank statement should have S$25,000
- If the total course fee is $20,000, your bank statement should have $30,000
Under certain circumstances whereby you are sponsored by your relatives, company or friends it is advisable for the funds to be transferred to applicants/applicant parent’s account
Money Transfer
Some countries might have restriction in money transfer, Please check with banks in your country on transferring of money for application fee and course fee before further consultation.
Student Pass Processing Time
The Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) takes 6-8 weeks to processing the student pass. We will update the applicants the processing status on the website and call the applicants once it is approved.
Social Visitor Pass/Visa’s validity
Some students are anxious about starting their education in Singapore and perhaps choose to come earlier but please take note that if your student pass is still processing you will be given only 2 weeks to 1 month of Social Visitor Pass/Visa.
English Requirement
Some International students come from non-English speaking countries example Vietnam, China, Myanmar and etc will have to score certain English requirement for their IELTS/TOEFL exam in order to qualify for the study program. Applicants can check with us whether they will need to apply for any placement test that some schools are chargeable or take up English course before their courses.
School application fees
Applicants are requirement to pay the application fees to the schools before we can process the application. The fees vary between $300-$1200
Notarised Documents
If the applicant’s documents like birth certificate, education certificate, results, some countries with householder are not in English they will have to seek official help to translate all documents.
Jobs Placement
There will be no job placement for all schools in Singapore, however school officer or student affair department can advise students the best approach to look for job.
